Hyderabad: In a thrilling Indian Premier League encounter, the Gujarat Titans showcased their prowess by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets on Sunday.
Choosing to bowl first, Mohammed Siraj was the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for just 17 runs in his four overs. Prasidh Krishna and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore also contributed significantly, each taking two wickets, which helped restrict SRH to a total of 152 runs for 8 wickets.
For the Sunrisers, Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Henrich Klaasen added 27 runs to the scoreboard.
In response, Gujarat Titans' captain Shubman Gill played a pivotal role, remaining unbeaten on 61 runs. Washington Sundar supported well with a quickfire 49 runs off 29 balls.
Sherfane Rutherford also made a notable contribution, scoring 35 runs off just 16 balls, as the Titans successfully chased down the target in 16.4 overs.
